Adaptive Water Skiing Program Offers "Chance to Fly"
08/20/2010 The Adaptive Water Skiing program, part of the Adaptive Sports and Adventures Program (ASAP) at Carolinas Rehabilitation, was highlighted in the Charlotte Observer.
The water skiing program is run by Carolinas Rehabilitation and the Lake Norman YMCA and is the only one of its kind in North Carolina. The program has been held for approximately 10 years and has seen a recent increase in participants. Once boasting 20 skiers, ASAP now has more than 60 skiers and long waiting lists for each session.
