|  At Carolinas Rehabilitation, we provide the full continuum of care, from acute inpatient rehabilitation to extensive outpatient physician and therapy services. Our ties with Carolinas Healthcare System will allow even more access to other services such as home health care, skilled nursing facilities, state of the art technology, nationally renowned physicians and exceptional clinical expertise. Carolinas Rehabilitation is licensed for 182 beds. Our main facility is located adjacent to Carolinas Medical Center, providing patients access to the most sophisticated acute care in the region. This 80 bed facility is one of the largest not-for-profit freestanding facilities of its kind in the nation.
We have two locations dedicated to stroke, nontraumatic injuries, orthpaedic and general rehabilitation. 39 beds are located within CMC-Mercy and 40 beds are located in Gaston County in Mount Holly.
For pediatric care, Carolinas Rehabilitation has a 13-bed Pediatric Pavilion in Levine Children's Hospital, also located on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center. Finally, Carolinas Rehabilitation has partnered with Stanly Regional Medical Center to manage and support their 10-bed rehabilitation unit in Albemarle, NC.
Inpatient
Carolinas Rehabilitation cares for individuals of all ages, disabled by spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, cancer and other traumatic and nontraumatic injuries and diseases in a vest restraint-free environment. To facilitate better access to our rehabilitative services, Carolinas Rehabilitation offer patients transport access via helicopter, fixed-wing or jet aircraft and rapid ground transportation units through MedCenter Air's services.
Outpatient
We are leaders in the field of rehabilitation and our outpatient facilities are staffed with accredited specialists offering programs in physical, occupational and speech therapy. Designed to accelerate each patient's recovery efforts, our staff uses the most advanced equipment and techniques available. With an extensive network of outpatient centers throughout the region, we are always within reach of individuals seeking therapy, and skilled at providing the care, support and confidence vital to successful rehabilitation.
